StrongStart
StrongStart is a free drop-in early learning program for children 0-5 years of age, parent/caregiver participation required. We invite you to come and share some special learning time with your child/ren. There are lots of fun activities to promote all areas of development, library and gym time, art, circle time, science, baking, and nutritious snacks are provided. The program is free of charge and all Spruceland Elementary School families are welcome to drop by during the hours of operation. Come and check us out!
To register, please bring the birth certificates of all attending children and inside shoes.

We cap attendance at 20 children. When full, we will put a "full" sign on the school's front door and the StrongStart classroom door, We wish to maintain a safe, orderly classroom. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.
Schedule:
8:45am: Program opens - door is locked before this time.
8:45 - 9:55: Center Choices (art, blocks, puzzles, etc.) Time to play and explore materials with your child.
9:30-10:45: Snack is prepared, and is available for your child starting at 9:30. This is an open ended snack - children can eat when they are hungry during this time frame. Please let your child only eat once due to limited food supply. Snack will be closed at 10:45 for class dishes to be washed.
9:50: 5 minute song before clean up.
9:55: time to clean up for Sing-along time.
10:00-10:15: Sing - along time. Time for songs, finger plays and stories.
10:15-10:45: Special school activities will happen at this time in the school.
10:45: snack is now closed - class dishes will be washed.
10:45 - 11:35: Play resumes in the class, limited centers open.
11:35: 5 minute song before clean up.
11:40: Clean up time, and time to get ready to go home.
Special Activity Days: School Year 2018/2019
Mondays: Outside Playground time @ 11:10 - 11:45 - weather depending. If it is slower than -10, we will stay inside.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: Gym time @ 10:30-10:45. Come and bounce balls, and use various gym equipment.
Fridays: Library Story Time @ 10:15 - 10:30. Come and join us in the school library for a store time with our librarian. Your child is also able to sign books out to take home if registered
